CTeen is based off of a vision and belief in the power of youth and in our ability to turn the teen years into a time of purpose and self-discovery. CTeen harnesses the incredible potential of teenagers with awesome programs that bring teens together to give back to their communities and the environment.
CTeen composes educational, humanitarian and social aspects into an incredible program that teens love. Studies show that by joining groups that emphasize community service, teens build their self esteem, strengthen integrity, and maximize their cognitive development. They benefit from improved academic performance and enhanced life skills.
Teens love to socialize, they love to network. CTeen is an environment where teens can connect and befriend other Jewish kids their age in a fun, social setting. Using well structured and teen-oriented programming, our sessions will inspire your teen, and instill within them a strong Jewish pride. Ultimately, this will give them the inner connection to remain Jewishly active, both in college and beyond. Encourage your child to attend an event so they may experience this program first hand and gain all the benefits: A Jewish Network, a Jewish Identity, Jewish Values, and the ability to give back.
The goals of the program are:
- To provide a nurturing environment where teens can learn about themselves through giving to others, identify with individuals who share the same faith, and be part of a group that focuses on building core values and stresses positive character development.
- To give teens a Jewish education that is meaningful to them in the 21st century. Not a traditional class, but rather one that speaks to them so that they will take the lessons and actually relate to them in their own lives.
- To give the opportunity for teenagers to reassign some free time into meaningful time, constructively spent learning, giving, and interacting with others teens.
- To build teen self esteem and strengthen their integrity through the emphasis of community service.
- To enable teens to channel their skills in socializing and networking, towards making a difference in our communities.
- To encourage teens to become more active within their communities through the CTeen Leadership program. The program builds leadership skills and self-confidence.
- To instill a sense of Jewish pride within the teens.
- To enable Jewish teens from across the community to connect and relate to other Jewish teens like themselves.
- To give the teens hands-on Jewish experiences such as a Shabbat dinner, community service mitzvah projects, seeing Jewish sites in NY and more.
