Yizkor Booklet

Cong. Sha'arei Israel Book of Remembrance

Each year, Congregation Sha’arei Israel publishes a Book of Remembrance with the names of our departed loved ones.  This booklet is used at the Yizkor Services on Yom Kippur and on Sukkot, Pesach and Shavuot.

NOW is the time to make any corrections, additions or deletions to the names that will be published in the 2025-2026 (5786) booklet.

THE DEADLINE FOR YOUR CHANGES IS SEPTEMBER 10, 2025

Members: Members in good standing may add their loved one's names at no additional cost. If you had a death in the last year, you must send in the information, as it will not be added unless we hear from you.

Non-Members: Please see prices listed below. Please note that if we do not hear from you, your listing will be the same as last year's and you will be billed for that listing.

The Yizkor Prayer

"…       May G-d remember the soul of my relative, _________ who has gone to the his/her   world, because, without making a vow,  I will give to charity on his/her behalf.  As a reward for this, may his/her soul be bound in the Bond of Life, together with the souls of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob;Sarah, Rebecca, Rachel and Leah, and together with the other righteous men and women who are in the Garden of Eden,  and let us respond:  Amen. …."
