  • Welcome!

We hope you can join us for High Holiday services. The prayers are warm, the people are friendly and everyone feels at home.

Whether your background in Jewish prayer and practice is extensive or limited, the services will leave you feeling enriched, connected, uplifted and energized to start your New Year in the most meaningful way.

We are proud to offer a variety of meaningful service options for all ages and backgrounds, so that everyone can participate. Hebrew/English prayer books are used throughout the service.

If you are looking for a more inspiring service with High Holiday insights, be sure to participate in our Yom Kippur Learner's Service on Yom Kippur from 9:30-11:15 in the sanctuary, where the Rabbi provides an English running commentary of explanatory and meaningful insights. In addition to childcare for preschool aged children and fun and meaningful Rosh Hashana and Yom Kippur programs for elementary aged children, we are proud to offer a Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur discussion group for teens as well.

While registration is not required, we cannot guarantee a Machzor (prayer book) or a spot without it!

We do hope you can join us and we wish you an upcoming year of material and spiritual  blessings, happiness, good health and prosperity-- Shana Tova!

  • 3. Donation

While we firmly believe that no one should have to pay to participate to pray and connect to G-d at any time during the year, giving a Tzedakah donation to help cover the costs of these and other wonderful and vital programs that Sha'arei Israel and Chabad of Raleigh brings to our community is very much appreciated, as well as a wonderful Mitzvah opportunity to start off the year. We suggest a donation of $125 per seat. if you are already a Sha'arei member, please consider a tzedakah donation by sponsoring a seat for someone who is not in a position to do so.
