For security purposes, we ask that all attendees for Rosh HaShanah/Yom Kippur Services RSVP so we can ensure their names are on the entry list.

If you're name is not on the list, and security/the congregant at the door does not recognize you, you may be asked to identify yourself before admittance is granted.

Welcome to Jewish Life Center - Cong. Sha'arei Israel - Chabad of Raleigh!

We hope you can join us for High Holiday services! The prayers are warm, the people are friendly and everyone feels at home.  

Whether your background in Jewish prayer and practice is extensive or limited, the services will leave you feeling enriched, connected, uplifted, and energized to start your New Year in the most meaningful way.

We are proud to offer a variety of meaningful service options for all ages and backgrounds, so that everyone can participate at their level.

Hebrew/English prayer books are used throughout the service, as we say G-d understands all languages, and with our easy to follow along page guide you can connect at your own pace with the prayers.

Short explanations of the text, with inspiring insights, will be provided throughout the service so even the beginner will feel right at home in the synagogue.

Childcare for children of all ages is provided during service times.

An engaging and age-appropriate program for our Preschool-aged children.

A fun and meaningful program for elementary-aged children. 

 As well as a teen discussion group for the older ones, to learn about these holy days.

Due to Security concerns RSVP is requested as we cannot guarantee entry, a spot or Machzor (prayer book) without it!

We firmly believe that no one should have to pay to pray - during the year, and certainly not for the High Holidays. Membership is not required to join our Services, nor are you required to purchase a seat.

We rely on the charitable donations of participants and friends of our congregation to help cover the cost of this, and our other vital programs at the Jewish Life Center. The High Holidays are a particularly auspicious time, and Tzedakah is encouraged in abundance!

As such, we ask you to consider a donation at this time. A suggested $125 per seat is recommended.

Nobody will be turned away from a seat, a prayer book, a Yizkor service, or any other service at our congregation.

Members of Cong. Sha'arei Israel: Please consider a Tzedakah donation by sponsoring a seat for someone who is not in a position to do so.
