Congregation Sha'arei Israel

shaarei israel aaronCongregation Sha'arei Israel of Raleigh North Carolina was founded in 1979. The synagogue affiliates with the Orthodox Union and Chabad-Lubavitch. Members come from very diverse backgrounds, creating an inviting atmosphere for Jews from all walks of life and levels of Jewish practice.

Our service is refreshingly casual and easy to follow. The English-Hebrew Prayer Book, accompanied by frequent songs and commentary, makes everyone a participant

Congregation Sha'arei Israel welcomes Jews from all backgrounds to participate in any way they feel comfortable. In a non-judgmental way, the synagogue facilitates the spiritual growth of each individual. The synagogue tries to provide Special Projects to help maintain participation in shul activities.

Congregation Sha'arei Israel offers morning and evening prayers every weekday, in addition to Shabbat and holiday services.
